Federation X is a rock band, originally formed in Bellingham, Washington, though now shares members between Bellingham and New York, New York. Founded by Ben Wildenhaus (guitar), Bill Badgley (guitar, vocals), and Beau Boyd (drums) in 1998. The band has toured the US, and has had two European tours, and a tour of Israel. In the beginning, the band released a self-titled LP on its own Molasses Manifesto Records, then followed it in 2001 with American Folk Horror, released by Bellingham's Estrus Records. Estrus also released X Patriot, and in 2005 released Rally Day. The band has been compared to such heavy acts as Melvins, Karp, and Black Sabbath. While Wildenhaus and Badgley have always played 4-string guitars, 2006 saw the addition of guitarist Josh Holland, so that Badgley could have the space to concentrate on his vocal duties. 2007 saw the return of the band as a 3 piece.
Tacos! -the band!
Starting as a side project from their other bands,Tacos! has
rolled into a fine running heavy metal taco eating machine.
Utilizing a hard hitting drummer and loud blasting guitars
their sound is reminiscent of other heavy bands like Black Cobra,
Melvins, and Deadbird. Drummer Lupe Flores (SugarSugarSugars)
and guitarist and vocalist Don Stewart (MIGAS, Mico de Noche)
began jamming off and on throughout 2011, and first played live
on Halloween of that year. Aside from numerous local shows
around the northwest during 2012, they also managed to
play during SXSW, did two west coast tours, and in December,
released a “Tour CD” of older demo songs and a few songs that will
be re-recorded this spring with engineer Chris Common (Pelican,
These Arms are Snakes, Minus the Bear).
The “Tour CD” can be found here:
